The space

Lilypod’s essence is luxe and cosy, meticulously crafted, imbued with a sense of elegant style.

The bare timber frame dome offers warm, sumptuous living space.

Snuggle down with our hot n toasty, easy control wood burner or wrap up in the comfort of our soft blankets.

Flop in your king-size bed with opulent bamboo bed linen and plush mattress. Refresh yourself with our walk-in shower and the softest towels.

Softly lit timber frame accent lights and hand made hanging glass bulbs to cosy up for the evening.

King-size hand made oak and cedar bed with hypo allergenic bamboo linen.

The kitchen is well equipped, including a dual ring gas hob, fridge/freezer. Le Creuset stove top kettle.

The bathroom offers a bespoke walk-in shower powered by a gas boiler for a truly indulgent experience. One of the best waterless composting loo systems on the market and of course the softest bath sheets.

Snuggle up with a good book on our cosy bean bags. You’ll find some of our favourite books on the shelves including local guide books, and a selection of our favourite board games.

The front deck has comfy chairs and table and is a real sun trap in the summer months. Don’t forget to try our suspended hammock for that floating above the water feeling.

Even your fire pit and bbq is also out on the lake suspended above the water- it’s absolutely magical.

For us this secluded part of West Devon is one of the UK’s most idyllic places for a romantic getaway. Should you wish to leave your pod, and we’d understand if you didn’t- this part of Devon bordering Cornwall is bursting with great attractions, award winning pubs, historic houses, golden beaches, walks through open moorland to rich forests.

Whether your passion is for food, rambling, the sea, wildlife or riding the waves, it’s all right here waiting for you.

We use TouchStay (a digital welcome pack) to orient our guests, we’ve packed it full with suggestions of some of our favourite places and activities. Ranging from Spa’s to wild swimming, horse riding in the National Park, local farm shops, unique towns and awesome pubs. Golden beaches of Devon and Cornwall all less than an hour away.

"This is a wonderful place for a romantic getaway in Devon. Away from the city, enjoying the magical views, the warmth of the fire in the fireplace, peace and quiet. Kyle is very hospitable and friendly, met us, helped us get to this place and showed us around. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, everything is tastefully decorated and made with love. On the lake, you can even hear the sound of a waterfall and in the evening small lights are beautifully lit and illuminate the pier to the house. I am very glad that I found out about this amazing place and I plan to visit the Lilypod again."

"Wow - what an amazing stay!! We stayed here after our wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. It is so peaceful and calm outside and we did some beautiful walks round the vineyard. In the mornings we walked up to the cafe and had a delicious breakfast and coffee. Before you arrive you get sent a very helpful manual which was great for us as we had never stayed anywhere 'off grid' before. Everything was easy to understand. Would 100% recommend this stay if you are looking to rest, re-charge on a romantic getaway in Devon."
